Burnt mum going to Miami

THE 23-YEAR-OLD MOTHER of three who received burns to over 83 per cent of her body on Thursday morning is in stable condition but should be airlifted overseas for treatment soon.
Lynette Stoute was up to yesterday still fighting for her life at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital after being badly burnt at her Diamond Valley, St Philip home, as she tried to save her three children, who – unknown to her – had already escaped the blaze, which started around 9 a.m.
When contacted by the SATURDAY SUN, Stoute’s father James Best said that his daughter was in “bad” condition.
“She is about the same. The preparation process is going through for her to be airlifted pretty soon. I am told she is going to Miami for care. I would have hoped for her to be airlifted [on Thursday],” said Best.
There will be a prayer vigil for Stoute on Sunday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the hospital’s chapel. Organizers are asking those attending to bring a candle. (AH)
