The ownership of the Honda Motors dealership in Barbados has changed hands in a sale said to be worth around $10 million.
DAILY NATION sources revealed that a new company, A&H Motors Inc., a joint venture between insurance executive Peter Harris and former chief executive officer of LIME Barbados Alex McDonald, recently signed a deal with the owners of MG Tucker & Company Limited.
One source said too that representatives of the Japanese automobile producer were recently in Barbados to “sign off on the deal”. While efforts to confirm where the new company would conduct business were unsuccessful, the sources said that given a recent deal surrounding a sizeable amount of warehouse space in the Warrens Industrial Park area, it was possible the new dealership could be based there.
A&H Motors Inc. was incorporated on December 10, 2013 with Harris as the sole director at that time, and the registered address at No. 4 Prior Park Heights, St James. Its business was identified as “car dealership, sale of parts and repair centre”.
