Cease fire

A PASTOR has made a passionate plea for a cease fire in the island.
With gun play being a daily occurrence in some communities, and with “our men’s groups calling down fire on the women’s groups and the women’s groups, in return, calling down fire on the men’s groups”, Pastor Jacqueline Mayers feels the island may be heading towards “something that is far worse than a natural disaster”.
The pastor was delivering the sermon at a service, at Chapman Street’s Church of God, to mark the start of the 2014 Hurricane Season. (HLE)
