Some major changes could soon be coming to the Ministry of Transport and Works.
In what is expected to cost the Government thousands of dollars in overtime, workers in some sections of the ministry might be looking at completely different hours of work.
Speaking to the Press after tours to White Hill, St Andrew, and Jack-In-The-Box Gully, St Thomas, yesterday, Minister of Transport John Boyce said that the ministry had to find ways to maximize the infrequent dry spells to get the roadworks in various parts of the country completed.
Boyce said the unseasonal heavy rainfall, which has affected the country for the past 18 months to two years, had interrupted major works.
