Liam Sebastien completed a compelling all-round performance as Sagicor UWI took first innings lead over Guardian General Barbados Youth in a drawn match yesterday.
Sebastien took four for 30 following his unbeaten century that helped UWI declare at 255 for two off 58.2 overs to which Barbados Youth replied with 175 all out off 65.3 overs.
Resuming on 229-2, UWI added 26 off 2.2 overs before declaring, most of them to Omar Phillips who moved from 101 to 124 not out. Sebastien, who started the day on 107 was not out on 108 when the declaration came.
Kraigg Brathwaite (39) and Akeem Springer (29) put on 73 for the first wicket but Sebastien removed both to orchestrate a collapse.
Sebastien’s main support came from Khismar Catlin who took three for 32.
