Case of nerves

The Eager Eleven saga seemed to have had its genesis in “a little nervousness”, says general secretary of the Barbados Workers’ Union (BWU), Sir Roy Trotman.
He said the nervousness had arisen as a result of the St Lucia election on November 28, and had led to an “unfortunate” process.
The union boss was addressing journalists at a media conference yesterday at BWU?headquarters Solidarity House.
At the conference to review the BWU’s challenges this year, Sir Roy said that because of the St Lucia election and the findings of a political analyst, parliamentarians had become nervous, and “in that nervousness they have sought to take a certain kind of review and they chose one review process which was unfortunate, because they are parliamentarians together and could have used that process of meetings of the parliamentary group”.
