Former World Champion?hurdler Ryan?Brathwaite might soon have the opportunity to rescue his flagging form and fortune by training at the world-class athletics track bearing his name at Paradise Park, St Michael.
That is because the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation’s (CBC) antennae which had stymied the completion of the Ryan Brathwaite Track are finally being relocated.
Earlier this year, principal of the Cave Hill campus of the University of the West Indies, Professor Sir Hilary Beckles bemoaned the fact that although permission had been given to relocate the antennae, after almost two years nothing had been done.
Sir Hilary also said Brathwaite had indicated he wanted to train on the track and he had to be told that it was still locked away in containers.
