Family physician Dr Adrian Lorde says he does not believe Government’s 24-hour lockdown in response to the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) came too late.

“No, I think it was a progression that we all saw was coming; all should have seen this was coming. The Government tried, with the advice of Ministry of Health officials, to gradually do what they had to do,” he said while on his way to work at one of his medical offices located near The City.

With Barbados having recorded 52 positive COVID-19 cases up to yesterday, for him it was “an unprecedented situation” that remained “fluid” and he was intent on playing his role by looking after those with long-standing medical problems. (SNR)
