The isolation facility for novel coronavirus (COVID-19) patients at Harrison Point, St Lucy, is completed and the facility has been handed over to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH).

A statement from Government said the facility has a capacity for 200-plus beds, some of which are already in place. Installation of equipment and furniture is ongoing.

Minister of Health and Wellness, Jeffrey Bostic, in a final walk-through on Monday, said the entire compound would now be used as an isolation facility for COVID-19 positive patients.

Project manager, Joseph Steinbok, said the project was completed in five weeks.

He thanked all those who worked on the project. (BGIS)
