Two-time Olympic surfer O’neal Marshall believes the spread of the novel coronavirus can be contained without keeping all sportspersons away from their respective sports.

Though, he agreed that certain measures needed to be taken to ensure the protection of all during the pandemic, he told NATION SPORT that sporting events that did not involve a team should be allowed to carry on.

“I do respect the fact that we are going through a difficult situation and we need to be safe. I don’t want to put anybody at risk but from my perspective, being quarantined for the last two to three weeks, I think we can go about carrying out sports in a safe way,” he said. (RG)
