The Barbados Light & Power Company (BL&P) is targeting a mid-July “responsible reopening of its offices for employees and customers that considers the safety, health and the wellbeing of everyone”.

“With the confirmation of COVID-19 cases in Barbados in March, we closed our offices to customers and equipped the majority of our employees to work from home,” said Rodney Dottin, Manager Customer Care at Light & Power.

BL&P is reconfiguring the customer service centre to facilitate physical distancing and planning for limited customer numbers inside, according to the statement.

Dottin also advised customers to continue to use alternate bill-payment options to minimise the risk of novel coronavirus COVID-19.

Most businesses have reopened after being closed to limit spread of the viral illness. (PR/KG)
