Two drivers sustained injured in a head-on collision at Boarded Hall, St George on Tuesday afternoon.

Cody Harris, 29 years, of Emerald Park West, St Philip and Mohammed Pandor, 38, of South Bend Road, Pine Gardens, St Michael, were involved in the accident which occurred around 1:25 p.m.

They were travelling in opposite directions – Harris in a car heading out of The City and Pandor in a truck going towards Bridgetown – when they collided at a bend in the road.

Harris was unresponsive at the scene and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) by ambulance, where he remains in stable but serious condition.

Pandor complained of pain and injuries to both his feet and was also taken to the QEH for treatment.

The front of the lorry was moderately damaged but the car was extensively damaged.

Police cordoned off the area and all vehicular traffic was diverted for a significant period as investigations were carried out.

Two fire tenders and eight personnel from the Barbados Fire Service responded to the scene. (PR/SAT)
