The Grantley Adams Memorial School, at Blackmans, St. Joseph, has advised parents and guardians that all textbooks from the 2019-2020 academic year should be returned to the school, starting next Monday, July 13.

There will be no textbook return on Tuesday, July 14, as a result of the Barbados Secondary Schools’ Entrance Examination. However, the process will continue from the following day, Wednesday, July 15.

The system in place will go according to forms, starting with the first forms. The last day for returns is Wednesday, August 5. People are asked to comply with safety protocols when visiting the school compound. Security personnel at the gate will be taking the temperatures of everyone entering the school. People will be required to sanitise their hands, and the names of each individual will be recorded in a log book, in case contact tracing is needed.

Visitors with a temperature over 37.5 degrees Celsius, after two readings, will not be allowed on the compound. Additionally, masks are to be worn at all times.

Social distancing protocols will be practised, and only one person, the student, or the parent/guardian will be allowed into the library to return textbooks. (BGIS)
