A restructured Barbadian tourism industry will feature enhanced partnerships, local and international, and further use of modern technology.

That’s the vision of newly-appointed Minister responsible for Tourism and International Transport, Senator Lisa Cummins.

Addressing the 25th anniversary function of the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre at Two Mile Hill on Friday, Cummins acknowledged Barbadians were navigating challenges of COVID-19 and the possible threat of storms.

“We are in a season where we are navigating risks, mitigating them and planning our way forward,” said Cummins, who spoke of hope for a repurposed tourism sector. (HH)
