Those living along Cane Garden, St Andrew and Dark Hole, St Sylvans, St Joseph are joyful their roads are finally being repaired.

The Ministry of Transport, Works and Maintenance (MTWM) and the Soil Conservation Commission are working together in Fruitful Hill to ensure Barbadians have relief after decades of inconvenience.

This road acts as a conduit between St Andrew and St Joseph.

“We were requested to do some clearing out at Fruitful Hill between St Joseph and St Andrew to link them back together. We started on Saturday and continued Sunday. The former road had at least two areas which had slipped so we made it level again so those residents from Cane Garden can traverse the area by foot or 4×4, but I wouldn’t advise anyone to drive a regular car through there as the area is still soft,” said Officer-in-charge of the Soil Conservation Commission Bernard Thompson.
