One person will be discharged from the isolation facility at Harrison Point, St Lucy, on Thursday after a second consecutive negative COVID-19 test result.

The test was among 192 conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory yesterday, all of which yielded negative results for the viral illness.

The number in isolation fell to 16 and recoveries increased to 157. Confirmed cases in Barbados remain at 180, comprising 93 females and 87 males. There were seven deaths since the first case was confirmed here in March.

The public health laboratory completed 19 140 tests, as of Wednesday. (PR/SAT)
