Cyclist injured in crash

Police are investigating an accident with injuries which occurred about 2:50 p.m. on yesterday along Lower Collymore Rock, St Michael.

It involved a vehicle owned and driven by 47-year-old Shawn Foster of Chalky Mount, St Andrew; a Toyota Vitz owned by the Barbados Reference Lab and driven by 57-year-old Peter Cumberbatch of Upper Walkers, St Andrew and a bicycle ridden by 59-year-old John Paul of Mill Yard Road, Brittons Hill, St Michael.

Police say Paul received serious head injuries, a broken right leg and facial injuries. He was transported by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

No one else was injured. All of the vehicles sustained moderate damage. (PR/NB)
