A substantial fall in revenue because of the COVID-19 virus has significantly impacted the junior development programme of the Barbados Cricket Association (BCA).
President Conde Riley said the association was like many businesses and organisations across the country and its finances were reeling from a drop in revenue from its major funding source, the national lottery.
Riley said though the association has been able to maintain its staff, the decline in revenue had significantly impacted on its ability to deliver its junior development programme in recent weeks.
“Because of the situation with people being laid off and so on, the spending (on lotteries) in the island has dropped,” Riley said. (AR)
