Volcanic ash and small-craft advisory discontinued

A volcanic ash and small-craft advisory has been discontinued.

La Soufriere Volcano, St Vincent remains very much active and the threat of explosive volcanic eruptions remains likely.

Barbados Meteorological Services (BMS) said that as a result, bulletins regarding ash plumes could be issued at short notice.

The public is urged to remain on alert and to monitor the BMS website or official social media pages and/or monitor traditional news media outlets for updates. (Barbados Meteotological Services)
