A Transport Board bus had to be taken off the road after vandals broke one of its windows on Tuesday night.

Chief operations officer Lynda Holder gave that update at Caribbean Auto Glass and Accessories, Green Hill, St Michael on Wednesday.

Holder said BM615, an electric bus on the St Patrick’s, Christ Church route was traveling through Kingsland around 8:45 p.m. when a vandal struck the vehicle with a rock.

Police were called to investigate.

Holder said the vehicle would be off the road for at least a day. She remined Barbadians that the full electric bus project – purchase, training and so on – cost $22 million, and urged them to take better care of state property. (TG)
