Eight new virus cases

Eight new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, four males and four females, were recorded by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory. The facility conducted 1 074 tests on Sunday, July 25.

There are 159 people in isolation.

A total of 4 353 confirmed cases of the virus (2 116 females and 2 237 males) have been recorded since March 2020, and 48 people have died.

To date, the public health laboratory has carried out 211 499 tests.

The number of first doses administered under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19 is 99 030. Additionally, 74 322 people (27.4 per cent of the population) have received second doses of the vaccines and are fully vaccinated. (BGIS)
