‘Wait inside’ for unit pickup

With COVID-19 cases on the increase, head of the COVID-19 Monitoring Unit Ronald Chapman is pleading with those waiting to be picked up by the Ministry of Health to stay indoors.

He is also urging householders not to neglect social distancing, hand washing and all of the other health and safety protocols.

Chapman made that point yesterday after pointing out that some individuals had tested positive but still went shopping.

“We are asking them please don’t go shopping, don’t leave to go ’Town, work or hang out in the community. Stay inside and isolated until you can be picked up. If you need something, then we can get someone to bring it to you at Harrison Point or whichever isolation facility they placed you in. But now is not the time for persons to run down ’Town to buy a new nightie and expose other persons in the process,” he said. (TG)
