Jabali Breedy is on the brink of creating history and securing Barbados’ first medal at the 2021 International Boxing Association (AIBA) men’s world championships.

The 24-year-old ace, regarded as one of the best boxers in the Caribbean, is now only one win away from the milestone after continuing his impressive run of form in Belgrade, Serbia, yesterday.

Breedy boxed his way to a 4-1 points victory over Mongolian Bayarsaikhan Enkh-Amgalan in the Under-54-kilogram weight division at the Stark Arena.

It meant that he advanced to the quarter-final round and will take on Japanese Tomoya Tsuboi tomorrow for a shot at winning a medal and qualifying for the semi-finals.
