The elderly woman mauled by two big mixed breed dogs last Friday, is resting comfortably at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Enid Small, 81, a Barbadian Canadian who was on one of her many visits to the island, was attacked and savaged by the two dogs as she was walking through Brighton, St Michael.
She suffered deep bite wounds to her buttocks, thighs and right arm but was rescued by the quick action of some residents who rushed to her aid.
Yesterday, police public relations officer Acting Inspector Roland Cobbler said Small was listed in a stable condition.
However, he could not say whether the owner of the dogs would face criminal charges.
“That would depend on the investigations and the interview with the owner,” he said.
The dogs are currently housed at the Animal Control Centre, The Lazaretto, Black Rock, St Michael. (HLE)
