Five charged with stealing tools and equipment

Five men have been remanded to prison in connection with a spate of thefts of tools and equipment in the St Michael and Christ Church areas between December 2017 and January 2018.

They are:

Denis Rodney Beckles, 50 years, of #37 Golden Rock, Pine, St Michael, who was charged for four counts of theft, and one count of handling stolen property;

Amaro Delano Wilkinson, 21 years, of Jordan’s Lane, Nelson Street, St Michael, who was charged for three counts of theft;

Mark Anderson Franklyn, 52 years, of the same address, who was charged for one count of theft;

John Patrick Haynes, 42 years, of Rock Hall, St Thomas, who was charged for two counts of theft and

Junior Orlando Sobers, 50 years of Licorish Village, My Lord’s Hill, St Michael, who was charged for one count of theft.  

The five men appeared before Chief Magistrate Christopher Birch in the District ‘C’ Magistrates’ Court today and were all remanded until tomorrow.

Beckles and Wilkinson were further remanded to reappear in the Oistins Court on Friday. (PR/NB)
