HUNDREDS OF EMPLOYEES are being hampered in their efforts to file accurate 2018 income tax returns, due to their employers’ failure to file critical 2018 income information on their behalf.
Barbados Revenue Authority (BRA) communications officer, Erica Lazare, said BRA has been encountering hundreds of people daily who are eager to file but are unable to because critical information has not been uploaded to the Tax Administration Management Information System (TAMIS).
With the May 31, 2019 extended deadline approaching, Lazare is urging employers and other third-party providers such as charities and trade unions to immediately upload the relevant thirdparty information.

THE BARBADOS WATER AUTHORITY completed repairs to a damaged nine-inch main in Belle Gully, St Michael yesterday.
However, the repairs may have resulted in water outages or low pressure in the following areas: Haggatt Hall, St Barnabas, the Pine, Wildey, Clapham, Flagstaff, Highgate, Fort George Heights, Upton and surrounding districts.
