ATTORNEYS for both sides will address the jury today when the serious bodily harm trial of Kadeem Zaviad Atkins continues in the No 5 Supreme Court.

Yesterday, the accused gave his defence from the dock and called one witness.

Atkins, 27, of Deacons Farm, St Michael, has denied causing former childhood friend Omar Layne serious bodily harm with intent, and the lesser, alternate count of assaulting Layne, occasioning him actual bodily harm, on January 15, 2010.

He is being represented by attorney Arthur Holder, while Senior Crown Counsel Krystal Delaney and Crown Counsel Neville Watson are prosecuting.
