BATHSHEBA have been crowned champions of the prestigious Barbados Cricket League’s Garfield Sobers Super League after rain washed out play in all but one match on Saturday.

The St Joseph side finished with an unsurpassable 60 points, nine more than second-placed Karrie & Company Maycock Lodge Road. The match between BNOC and Kendal, which is to be completed on Saturday, has no bearing in the top position with the former on 22 points and the latter on 30.

Nicholls Bakery Goodwill Cavaliers (58) edged Hobbs and Niles Rendezvous (57) by one point for the title in the Everton Weekes Premier League, while Telecom Services Indian Ground were runaway winners of the Seymour Nurse/Conrad Hunte and James Bryan Division with 57 points, 19 more than second-placed Wayne on de Hill All Saints.

Sunrise (66) edged Zephirin Belfield (62) for the title by four points in the Calvin Alkins Customs Brokers Sylvester Clarke/Charles Griffith Division. (EZS)
