BWA ‘flushing’ in Worthing

Traversing along Worthing, Christ Church was a decidedly unpleasant experience yesterday evening. It was due to the recurring problem of spilling sewage.

One woman who was holding her nose as she passed told the DAILY NATION: “That was so for two months now and you can smell it from here all the way down to the gas station. When it rains, it does be even worse and then you got people driving by and splashing that nasty water all in your face.”

A motorist said she noticed the problem two weeks ago, telling the photographer: “You don’t need a camera, you need a smell metre.”

Another pedestrian remarked: “That smell is really nasty, although today is the first time I’ve seen it in a long time. The last time it was bad was when we had all that rain.” (CA)
