Intrepid shoppers at Carlton Supermarket experienced what it felt like to shop blind on Thursday, as the world marked World Sight Day.
The immersive project was put on by the Lions Club of Bridgetown with assistance from representatives of the National United Society of the Blind.
Shoppers at the Black Rock, St Michael supermarket were blindfolded and they had to attempt to do aspects of their regular shopping.
While at the cash register, the shoppers relied on other senses such as touch and even smell to figure out what products they were buying. Some of the items included oil, canned foods, ketchup, peas, spices and fruit. (TG)
