Double crown queens Pan American International Insurance Warrens and Cawmere continued their unbeaten run in the Goddard Enterprises Limited Division 1 Volleyball League when the action continued at Oldbury on Sunday.

Warrens, who are also in the delayed knockout finals, moved to 3/0 by thumping Frozen Minis Club United 25-21, 25-20, 25-20. After three matches, Club are yet to win a set in the league.

Club failed to take advantage of a relaxed effort from Warrens as they often trailed by five points and even when they narrowed the gap, silly errors put them back in deficit. Young Xhane Greenidge enjoyed a better than normal attacking game to help deny the struggling Club.

The match of the night proved to be the upset which former queens Chargers scored over the hopeful UWI Blackbirds. Chargers won 20-25, 25-19, 25-13, 22-25, 15-11 sending the other knockout finalists to their third loss in four matches. (KB)
