The Barbados Tridents schooled the newly refashioned Turks and Caicos women’s squad with a 10-0 victory in their friendly football international at the Wildey AstroTurf yesterday.
“Ten goals was not the plan coming into the game – it just happened. I think it was a great achievement. We had no information about the team coming in so we just gave it our best,” said assistant coach Shonelle Stephens.
Turks and Caicos had a difficult time battling the Barbados team, who dominated the game throughout.
The talented Shante Padmore made it difficult for them to take possession of the ball along with Shanice Stevenson while Shonna Evelyn and Rianna Cyrus also had a piece of the pie, scoring two goals each. (RG)
