A LOCAL PHILANTHROPIST is providing parents with more than $10 000 in school supplies through her charity.

Sharon Bellamy-Thompson, of Fishers of Men Charity, and a team of sponsors are providing the much-needed support to 50 children between the ages of three and 18.

Bellamy-Thompson said this was the first time the charity was helping with school supplies.

“Many of them [parents] were in tears because they don’t know where they would have got school clothes for the kids. I know it’s a trying time for some parents so I decided that I would like to supply school supplies for the children.” (TG)
