Man stabbed to death at Black Rock residence

Police are investigating the stabbing death of a man at a residence in Black Rock during the early hours of Monday.

Officers from the Black Rock Police Station responded to a report around 2:25 a.m. from a female caller at Bridge Gap, Black Rock, who said a man had been stabbed at her home.

When police arrived at the residence, they discovered the body of a male inside the house.

Preliminary investigations indicate that a dispute occurred between a man and a woman, during which the man sustained multiple stab wounds.

He succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

A medical doctor later visited the location, examined the body and officially pronounced death.

Police say investigations into the matter are ongoing.
