HADLEY HOYTE, the pocket rocket of men’s physique competition in Barbados, is still standing as king.

Hoyte, dynamite in a small package, clinched the overall national men’s physique championship for the second successive year at the National Bodybuilding & Physique Championships at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre on Saturday night.

Leading the charge for the Portside Gym, the 34-year-old held off a strong challenge from kickboxer Kirk Bovell to take the height class for entrants up to 173 centimetres.

Hoyte added a few pounds of muscle and maintained his stellar condition in his quest to repeat as champion. (MK)
