Kadooment Day shooting victim identified

THE MAN WHO was shot dead on the Spring Garden Highway on Kadooment Day has been identified as 20-year-old Tareid Junior Rock of, 3rd Avenue Chapman Lane, St Michael.

Police say officers on duty heard what sounded like a number of gunshots and on investigating, they discovered Rock’s lifeless body lying on his side on the sidewalk with gunshot injuries.

A number of other people received non-life threatening gunshot injuries, including a six-year-old boy who was grazed by a bullet. 

They were all transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance for medical attention.
