THE FRANK COLLYMORE HALL attracted a capacity crowd for The City of Bridgetown Co-operative Credit Union and Barbados Tourism Investment Inc.’s Crop Over Evening of Folk, one of the highlights of the Crop Over calendar.
The sold-out performance of De Riots In We Tin Tot, a Winston Farrell-scripted and directed production that recreated events associated with the 1937 riots, attracted an audience from across the broad spectrum of the arts, with familiar faces from dance, theatre and music.
Also in attendance were scores of patrons who just love the arts.
Just as in the early days of the Hall’s opening, when under the management of Allyson Leacock an unwritten dress code saw patrons dressing up “to go to the Frank Collymore Hall”, patrons of the Crop Over Evening of Folk were stylishly turned out. (GC)
