BASED ON THE life that Colleen Payne lived, Shakelia Payne is confident that she will meet her mother again one day “at heaven’s gates.”

Payne’s only child made the declaration yesterday while paying tribute to her at the funeral service for her mother who was shot and killed on July 17 while using the ATM at the Royal Bank of Canada’s Black Rock branch.

Shakelia said that even though yesterday was a sad day, she was sure that if she followed what her mother, has taught her, they would meet again.

“As long as I live right, as long as I put God first, on that glorious morning my mother will get up and I will meet her at heaven’s gates,” Shakelia said. (LK)
