THE ISLAND’s four major trade unions are steppin up their actions.

With Government having failed to adhere to the requests of the Barbados Workers’ Union (BWU), the National Union of Public Workers (NUPW), the Barbados Union of Teachers (BUT) and the Barbados Secondary Teachers’ Union (BSTU) to at least reduce the National Social Responsibility Levy (NSRL) to five per cent, the trade unions indicated yesterday they will be moving on to Plan B.
