ORANGE 3 PINELANDS will get that Lakers rematch after all.

The champs are into another finals, but only after Kelvin Patterson barely missed Station Hill’s game-tying score right before the buzzer of Saturday’s 92-90 Game 3 thriller in the Co-operators General Insurance Premier League basketball playoffs at the Barbados Community College.

It put Pinelands into a fifth straight championship series and their third finals matchup in five years with Lumber Company Lakers, who advanced to tonight’s finals after holding off Urban Vybz St John’s Sonics 76-68.

The showdown looked set from early too, as Lakers led by as many as 21 points (35-14) in the second quarter before the Pine held an even bigger 56-30 advantage. (JM)
