IF ELECTIONS WERE CALLED today, pollster Peter Wickham says he believes the result could be the same with the ruling Barbados Labour Party (BLP) retaining all the seats.

But he warned the Mia Amor Mottley administration that the middle class and educated Barbadians might vote for an Opposition rather than for a particular party.

“I think there is a danger in that for the Barbados Labour Party, that a lot of people would go out and vote, just to vote for an Opposition. So that to me is a concern  I think the BLP should have – not that people are voting for the Dems but they are just voting against the BLP because they don’t like the idea of this . . . . That is a factor,” Wickham said. (DF)
