HAMMOND TENNYSON HINDS will spend 12 years in jail for killing his “friend” more than two years ago.

The sentence was imposed on Hinds, of Crab Hill No.1, St Lucy, by Justice Jacqueline Cornelius in the No. 5 Supreme Court yesterday.

Last March 10, Hinds pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the death of Martin Walton Greaves, 46, of Half Moon Fort, St Lucy, on November 22, 2014.

Hinds and Greaves were near the fish market in Half Moon Fort when they got into an argument. Greaves had interjected into a conversation Hinds was having with someone where he [Hinds] was requesting money. Greaves objected to the request. (TKS)
