Boy dies after getting into difficulty in sea

POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING the circumstances surrounding the unnatural death of ten-year-old Nikan Legall.

The former Maxwell Hill, Christ Church resident died around 5:55 p.m. on Thursday at Maxwell Beach.  

Police say Legall went to the beach in the company of his grandfather, twin brother and 11-year-old cousin. 

While in the water, he experienced some difficulties and disappeared underwater.

He was subsequently pulled to the shore and rushed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance. The boy was later pronounced dead.
