SPRING COTTAGE won the Division 1 title to gain promotion to the Premier League when the National Domino Association’s Four-hand League climaxed on Sunday night.
Spring Cottage won the title by beating Dream Team 78-61 while HIV Hillside defeated BNOC 70-62 to clinch second place, and also grab the other Premiership promotion spot.
BUT Cavaliers were left heartbroken despite defeating the relegated Checker Hall 73-53. BUT, Spring Cottage, Hillside all finished on 39 points but when the raw scores were computed, the Cavaliers ended in third place.
Almond Bay Evergreen defeated RM Cleaners 69-63 to narrowly escape relegation while early season leaders Stag Weasels beat Eastbourne 75-61 to take fourth position. (EZS)
