Terrific Titus

THE CARIFTA GAMES swimmers are back from the Bahamas with 39 medals, and one of the biggest stars was unquestionably 14-year-old Danielle Titus.

The darling of local swimming snatched five medals, four of them gold including a Carifta and national record-breaking swim in the 100 metres backstroke in the 13-14 age group.

Overall, the swimmers won 39 medals – 12 gold, 16 silver and 11 bronze. Titus, a fourth form student of Harrison College, captured four golds and one silver. (MK)
