RUNNERS and race walkers alike came out in support of the third annual Melanie Kristin Price Foundation 5K run/walk last Sunday.

The foundation was established in 2014 in memory of Price, with the goal of putting education within reach of people in need and assisting with the welfare of children. It offers three scholarships each year.

The athletes assembled in front of Queen’s College at Husbands, St Michael, to set off on their journey within the Oxnards, St James/ Wanstead, St Michael area, making a full circle to end at the start point.

National triathlete Oein Josiah crossed the finish line first in 17 minutes, 22.2 seconds, successfully defending his title for the third time. (RA)
