MOTORISTS ARE IGNORING the conditions of the road, racing through corners and even speeding when the road is wet, a defensive driving expert and a police officer said yesterday.
Their comments came in the wake of four serious accidents, between 11 o’clock on Saturday night and 8 a.m. yesterday, that left one car a burnt-out wreck, and sent 11 people to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and two to private doctors.
The accidents occurred at My Lord’s Hill, Waterford and Wanstead, in St Michael, and at Oldbury Road in St Philip.
“Not all are due to speeding,” police public relations officer, Acting Inspector Roland Cobbler, said of the accidents. (HLE)
