LUMBER COMPANY LAKERS just keep rolling.
The league-leading Lakers went on a decisive second-quarter run before blowing the game wide open after half-time of Saturday’s 83-56 rout of Burger King Clapham Bulls in the Co-operators General Insurance Basketball Premier League.
Playing at the Barbados Community College, Lakers trailed 15-16 early in the second quarter before launching into a 17-3 run to take a comfortable 32-19 lead right before the break. And they never trailed again, effectively putting an end to the contest by outscoring Clapham 24-10 to start the third quarter.
The win was the eighth in ninth games for Lakers, who remained one game ahead of Station Hill Cavaliers. (JM)
