THE DYNAMIC DUO did it again.
Darian King and Haydn Lewis literally served up a masterpiece, taking yesterday’s pivotal doubles rubber against Guatemala without much of a sweat to put Barbados on the brink of another Davis Cup Americas Group II final.
It felt like a near exhibition at the National Tennis Centre, as the Bajans never lost serve in a dominant 6-3, 6-4, 6-3 victory over Christopher Diaz and Wilfredo Gonzalez that seemed shorter than the official playing time of an hour and 49 minutes.
The result served as sweet payback for Lewis and King, who lost an agonisingly tough semi-final showdown against the same pair at the CAC Games three years ago.
