THE ROYAL Barbados Police Force is urging parents and guardians to ensure adequate supervision for children over the Easter Holiday.
This comes in the wake of an accident where a two-year-old was struck by a van at Sargeant’s Village, Christ Church, Friday evening.
Police say several children were running along the side of the road when the two-year-old boy was struck by the motor van driven by 31-year-old Andrew Forte of Sargeant’s Village, receiving head injuries.
He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance, where his condition is listed as critical.
Investigations are continuing.
Police are also reminding parents to take precautions during kite-flying season, especially if kites are being flown where there are power lines. (PR/SAT)
